Introduction to Busan Medical Tourism

Institute of Southeast Nuclear Medicine

It was open in July 2010 in order to develop new technologies for cancer treatment under Ministry of Science, ICT & Future Planning. It is running wards for Research Center, Cancer Center (320 beds), and Health Examination Center as a radiology cancer research center. It also established the examination system for special cancers through the one-stop medical service covering from cancer prevention to treatment. Multiple units of advanced cancer diagnosis & treatment equipment were brought in and accordingly it is now finding cancers 6 to 7 times higher than the average cancer detection rate in Korea. Especially it can easily detect early cancers and it can contribute to lower the ratio of severe cancer patients.
